Moving the Needle – The Australian Embroidery Revolution

The 1960s-80s was an exciting time for Australian embroidery as it came out of the home and into the public arena. The Embroiderers’ Guild NSW is celebrating the groundbreaking creativity of the period with its major event Moving the Needle – The Australian Embroidery Revolution. The centrepiece is an exhibition of extraordinary embroidery and textile art.

There is also a programme of workshops, special events and conference on 23 June.
