The 2025 Banyule Art Salon
Banyule’s biggest community art exhibition. This year, in celebration of our local heritage, the community was invited to create artworks that responded to, or are inspired by the Heidelberg School of art. The Heidelberg School was the first significant colonial art movement in Australia, so named because a group of artists set up an outdoor painting camp in the area, capturing the raw beauty of the landscape here, alongside impressions of early settler life. Opening event, Friday 2 May, 6.30pm–8.30pm.
