​COLLECTION FOCUS: Women

The Rockhampton Museum of Art can boast some of Australia’s most highly regarded artists within its holdings. The artists in Women represent over 80 years of creativity from women who have lived and made art locally, nationally and across the globe.

Included in this story are works by First Nations women, immigrant women and Queer women, who have all played a crucial role in shaping visual arts in contemporary Australia.
