Big Sky

An exhibition of stellar artworks by prominent contemporary First Nations artists, Big Sky surveys pieces from significant South Australian institutions, including Art Gallery of South Australia, Samstag Museum of Art, Flinders University Museum of Art and the Riddoch’s own collection. From the focused and penetrating gaze of Beaver Lennon’s highly realised desert and seascapes, where you can almost walk into the painting and feel the air on your skin, to the warm and gentle hand of Ian Abdulla’s narrative landscapes that recall stories and express intimate feelings, Big Sky showcases a group of artworks that feel bigger than their frames.
