An immersive experience of Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo’s da Vinci’s Codex Atlanticus is the largest existing collection of the artist’s unedited drawings and writings, spanning over 40 years from 1478 to 1519, the year of his death. It has been housed in Milan’s Biblioteca Ambrosiana since 1637, where the pages are exhibited three months at a time before being stored in the dark for three years to maintain preservation. Now, they are in Melbourne.

Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius is the latest multi-sensory interactive exhibition offered by THE LUME Melbourne, and it promises to deliver a truly unique experience of the Italian master. Along with the rare exhibiting of the Codex Atlanticus, there is the only exact 360º replica of Mona Lisa in the world, an immersive depiction of Renaissance-era Italy, and various iconic works, such as The Last Supper, brought alive through AI and VR interactive technologies.
