The rhythm of creating
In a new collaborative exhibition at PS Art Space, in partnership with Cool Change Contemporary, five artists with process-lead practices contemplate material ethics through actively engaging in slowness and reuse.
The Melbourne Art Foundation, who manage the Melbourne Art Fair (MAF), continue to respond to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. In June this year they held a free online iteration of the Fair, and now they have announced that, with the safety of the public, gallerists, and artists in mind, the next Melbourne Art Fair has been rescheduled from 2021 to 2022.
Melbourne Art Foundation CEO and Fair director Maree Di Pasquale said “Although we remain positive for the future of our sector, far too many uncertainties remain to go ahead as planned next February. We are however committed to the Victorian summer timeslot and look forward to welcoming the artworld and art loving public safely to Melbourne Art Fair in February 2022 for a true celebration of contemporary art and ideas.”
The 2022 MAF will include a new initiative which provides subsidised participation rates for galleries that have been operating for under four years.
The Melbourne Art Fair is currently planned for 17 – 20 February 2022 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
