The Museum of Chinese Australian History, located in a beautiful heritage building the heart of Melbourne’s Chinatown, was established in 1985 as a not-for-profit organization. Its mission is to enrich the understanding of Chinese Australians through the presentation and celebration of Chinese Australian history, heritage, and culture.
Through its collection, research, and full program of exhibitions and public programs, visitors can enrich their historical knowledge and enjoy aspects of Chinese culture, and contemporary arts by Chinese Australians. An extensive education program is available to primary and secondary school students nationally.
Gallery and function spaces are also available for communities, corporates or individuals to stage their own events.
