Red Gallery

Operating since 2002, Red Gallery is one of Melbourne’s oldest and most iconic independent gallery spaces nestled firmly in Fitzroy’s dynamic and vibrant Arts Precinct. The gallery has created a space that supports independent artists by showcasing artists from emerging, mid-career, and established artists from traditional to contemporary practice such as paintings, photography, sculptures, printmaking, video art to immersive installations.

Red Gallery is a beautifully converted former boot factory warehouse, blending historical industrial charm with modern functionality. Featuring abundant natural light, versatile white walls, and adjustable low voltage track lighting, the gallery offers four spacious and flexible areas that can be used individually with 4 gallery spaces or as one large space.

With a ceiling height of 3.8 metres, it’s ideal for showcasing from small to large scale artworks, installations, or hosting events. The gallery includes onsite restrooms and an active liquor licence. Conveniently located in the vibrant Art Precinct, just minutes from Melbourne CBD, and directly across from Edinburgh Gardens, with tram and bus stops right at the door.
