Overlooking the beautiful vista of the Moruya golf course, the Bas was conceived as a space that would celebrate local and national visual art and contemporary culture. It provides an extraordinary legacy to all those who live or work in and visit Eurobodalla.
The exhibition centre has been named after Mr Basil Sellers AM in recognition of his substantial contribution to the arts in Eurobodalla. Mr Sellers generously donated a significant amount towards the establishment of the exhibition centre and has a strong dedication to fostering the community’s appreciation, understanding, and involvement in art. Mr Sellers also serves as the patron for Council’s Basil Sellers Art Prize and Little Sellers Art Prize.
