Backwoods Gallery opened in the back streets of Collingwood in 2010 with the purpose of exhibiting contemporary art by emerging artists from Australia and around the world. Backwoods was founded by members of the Everfresh Studio and 25 Easey St community.
Over the last 14 years our founders and the collective of artists we represent have grown in their artistic practises – from beginnings in the local graffiti and street art scene into the contemporary art world shown in galleries and public spaces around the globe.
