The Fine Line

The Fine Line investigates how obsession manifests across different disciplines, both in its creative and destructive forms. From paper to screen, the “Obsessed Artist Trope” is more than a fictional cliché, it lurks in some lived realities within creative fields today.

In the pursuit of perfection, obsessed artists expend excessive effort to the point of being consumed by their work regardless of success. While literature and film cemented the “Obsessed Artist Trope”, the exhibition considers how technology and contemporary conditions have caused it to evolve.
