Godwin Bradbeer
Tabula Rasa
Godwin Bradbeer lived in Broadmeadows from 1955 to 1964, and in 2010, he revisit- ed his former primary school, discovering it abandoned and vandalised before its demolition. Amid the ruins, he uncovered 145 old blackboards – fragments of the past. These chalkboards, each marked with traces of history and memory, have become symbols of beauty, minimalism, and authenticity. They explore themes of authorship, anonymity, and the passage of time.
