Rituals: Gifts for the Gods

Unveil the mysteries of ancient Greece in a world-first international exhibition, curated by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture in partnership with Melbourne’s Hellenic Museum. This landmark collaboration brings 119 extraordinary artefacts to Australia from 17 of Greece’s most revered state museums—the National Archaeological Museum, Acropolis Museum, Herkaleion Museum, Archaeological Museum of Delphi, and more—including selected objects never-before-seen outside of Greece. Spanning almost 8,000 years, Rituals- Gifts for the Gods invites you to trace the divine thread of ritual practices through time. From Neolithic offerings to Roman devotions, these artefacts—reverently crafted from earth, metal and stone—tell stories of powerful traditions, treasured offerings, and the eternal human desire to commune with the divine.
