Oliffe Richmond

An exhibition of works by Oliffe Richmond (1919–1977) who was a Tasmanian-born sculptor who built a distinguished career in Britain, working alongside Henry Moore before becoming a sculpture teacher at Chelsea School of Art. The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery holds a signif- icant collection of his works on paper, spanning from the 1940s to the 1960s. These drawings trace the evolution of his artistic practice, from early explorations of form to studies reflecting his mature sculptural vision.
