Robyn Bernadt

Nowhere May We Remain

Nowhere May We Remain is a visual elegy that responds to the profound mental and emotional impacts of climate change. It explores themes of loss and existential grief and offers comfort and commiseration in the face of unfolding ecological disaster.

Robyn Bernadt’s new exhibition concerns the detritus of our commodified lifestyles. Discarded cardboard packaging, advertising junk mail, and other wastepaper materials are reshaped into exquisite objects that celebrate the beauty of the natural world and subvert commodification by elevating the throwaway.

Bernadt is a paper installation artist living and working in Boorloo (Perth). Bernadt graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Visual Art in 1999 and has since continued to practice and exhibit regularly.
