Monaro and the Snowy Mountains

Margaret Hadfield Having lived and painted in and around the Canberra region for 35 years, artist Margaret Hadfield is heavily inspired by the natural surrounding environment of Monaro and the Snowy Mountains. Her love of the high country is reflected in detailed oil paintings that capture the changing seasons of the alpine environment. Through exploration of light and shade, Hadfield brings depth and atmosphere to the landscapes she portrays.
