Experience the variety of portraits held within the Whitehorse Art Collection plus those created by local artists in Mona Lisa & Friends. A Carolyn Lewens cyanotype print, Mona Lisa of 1993, provides a point of inspiration for this exhibition, which draws together both contemporary and historical approaches to portraiture.
The brand new 10km Mosman Art Trail features landmarks that have inspired generations of artists, including Arthur Streeton, Margaret Preston, Susan Rothwell and Jasper Knight. With accompanying reproductions of artworks at various sites on the walk, it’s a chance to reflect how artists interpret the landscape.

In 1841, the women aboard a British convict ship crafted a large-scale quilt known as ‘The Rajah quilt’. It’s one the most requested items from the National Gallery of Australia’s collection—and it’s now showing alongside a further 21 quilts, many crafted by women.
Kamilaroi/Bigambul artist Archie Moore has won the Golden Lion for Best National Participation at the Venice Biennale for his monumental work, kith and kin. It marks the first time Australia has won the award in the event’s 130-year history.
