Makers Space with Monica Rani Rudhar

Inspired by the artist’s Indian and Romanian heritage, this Makers Space celebrates the rich cultural significance of jewellery and its role in expressing and navigating complex heritage and identity. Drawing from the artist’s personal collection of earrings, Monica has transformed her fragile ceramic gallery pieces into an installation of soft, oversized sculptures.

Creating a sense of joy and curiosity, the artworks hung high on the wall encourage visitors to view, reflect, and create their own sketches inspired by the beauty and detail of Monica’s work. The works at a lower height invite visitors to touch, play and respond to their tactility and scale. Explore the artworks and dive into Monica’s creative process with hands-on making activities for all.

Enjoy even more fun on 25 October, with Family Day inspired by Makers Space with Monica Rani Rudhar.
