Local Contemporary Art Prize: reflections on here and now
The prize, originally known as Local Artist – Local Content, was created by the Friends Regional Gallery Caloundra Inc. in 2014. As we celebrate its tenth year in 2024, the prize has been renamed to Local Contemporary, reflecting the here and now of artists living and working on the Sunshine Coast. The prize pool has increased to an incredible $17,000 so we are certain the very best local art talent will be amongst our 40 finalists.
