Lady Drag

When I make paintings—or even just think about making them—I focus on two main things: raw material and pure feeling. What stands out most in my work is the strong tension between surface and depth, light and colour. There’s also a constant play between materials and technique—how they oppose, reverse, and interact with each other.

Full of energy and life, my paintings respond to light in all its forms—its tones, hues, shadows, and brightness. I stretch and manipulate the paint, thin and extend pigments, then reshape them into bold lines that give structure.
