JXSH MVIR: Forever I Live

JXSH MVIR – Forever I Live is the biggest retrospective of works by the late Josh Muir (1991–2022). Josh was a Gunditjmara, Yorta Yorta and Barkindji artist, born in Ballarat who passed away suddenly at the young age of 30 in 2022.

The works in the exhibition reflect Josh’s ongoing artistic legacy, emphasising Josh’s love of family and community, drawing on a range of themes including cultural identity, the impacts and legacies of colonisation, mental health, addiction, personal loss and grief.
