Min Woo Bang & Joshua Cocking
Chance Encounters
Min Woo Bang’s imagery explores nature’s transitional moods, often portraying elements of disintegration, loss and renewal in the final moments of daylight, a shifting cloud or a gust of wind. Joshua Cocking draws on years spent living in remote Indigenous communities in the Kimberley region of northern Western Australia to create realist works anchored in the land- scape. The ambiguously placed objects juxtapose natural and artificial materials, capturing the cross-cultural tensions involved in the experience of contemporary outback Australia.
