Aftershocks: Nolan and the Holocaust

In a rare and haunting exhibition, the Melbourne Holocaust Museum presents Aftershocks: Nolan and the Holocaust, a deeply personal and previously unseen body of work by one of Australia’s most iconic artists— Sidney Nolan.

On Victorian display for the first time, the exhibition features 56 powerful works, including 45 confronting portrayals of Auschwitz, four pieces exploring the Ravensbrück women’s camp, and seven abstract works where Eichmann’s spectral figure emerges. This is also the first time Nolan’s Ravensbrück series has ever been publicly exhibited.
