365: Becoming

These works were completed on a daily basis throughout my first year as a mother. I set out on the project of making this work for two reasons – To maintain a core and important part of ‘self’ during my emergence into motherhood; being an artist at a time I when much of my identity is being dissolved and reformed. I wanted to make sure that there was a small amount of time for me and my practice each and every day, to help me cope with the demands of being a new mother. Secondly, to document my first year as a mother, and my son’s first year of life on this planet. Opening night 21 August , 5.30 pm–7.30pm.
