Sharne Wolff is a freelance arts writer based near Byron Bay. Prior to her current preoccupation with art, she practised as a lawyer in London, Sydney and Lismore. Inspired by years of pedestrian travel, she is currently undertaking a masters degree on contemporary art and walking. The early evening launch of Daniel Boyd’s Rainbow Serpent could not have been better timed. After stepping into the darkened gallery space, soft evening light spilling through circular cut-outs at the far end of the room immediately captures my attention.
