Graduate exhibitions are a heady mix of celebration and contemporary art perusing. An opportunity for students to present their work to the public (sometimes for the first time), they also mark a point of transition. With a concentration of fresh art on view, it’s a great opportunity for visitors to gauge current trends in emerging art practice, often in the raw location of the artist’s studio. More often than not the work is for sale, so they are also an excellent place to pick up art at a low price point. To help plan your viewing we’ve created a list of upcoming graduate exhibitions from around Australia.
