Winterbloom

Kmieć invites us to explore the boundaries of our own imaginations and to embrace the power of creativity in her new series, Winterbloom as part of Ballarat International Foto Biennale. These fluid and bright photographs were made in the depths of winter during COVID-19 as an act of creative rebellion. She has used a freedom of colour and movement to create this series of visually captivating self-portraits.

Aldona is a Polish-born photographer, living in Australia (Ballarat/ Melbourne) since 2009. Key projects include Paste Up Photography, Ballarat (2012), Under the Floorboards, Ballarat (2013) and State of Change, State Library of Victoria (touring 2020-22).
