Transmission
Transmission, the debut solo exhibition by Liam Fallon, explores the construction of narrative through the usually-overlooked elements of suburbia. In seeking compositions from the hidden and designed-to-be-ignored elements of the urban landscape, Fallon find stories of warning, safety, comfort and risk.
Intertwined in this complicated matrix of signs is an inherent ambiguity – about those who came before, and for what purpose. These stories take on increased significance in the Covid-19 era, as we attempt to navigate the sudden and unfamiliar messaging through the pandemic and its environment of uncertainty, fear and isolation.
