Together: Celebrating our Diverse Cultures

Harmony Week is celebrated annually in March, and is centred on Harmony Day on 21 March. It coincides with the United Nations Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination and Harmony, and is celebrated around Australia.

Here in Banyule, we are home to people from many diverse backgrounds and experiences. Data from our last survey revealed that 24.5% of our community were born overseas, with ancestry from 125 different countries; there are 79 languages other than English spoken in Banyule; and more than half of our community practice a religion.
