The Quiet Activist

This survey exhibition is drawn from Juno Gemes’ archive of photography, film and publications of her work in national and international publications over the last 40 years.

Exhibited for the first time are master prints from The Language of Oysters (1997) and Poems (1995), with photographs by Juno Gemes and poems by Robert Adamson. Bush Pieta from the Blake Prize, 2005 and other Culture Lab collaborations are shown alongside images from Proof Portraits from the Movement (1979–2003) from The Macquarie University Art Gallery Collection. Curated by Rhonda Davis.
