Rebecca Najdowski: Inverted Landscapes

Inverted Landscapes addresses how photomedia has traditionally shaped nature to humanity’s desire — reducing the animate world to a representation, a distanced landscape to be considered.

The exhibition includes works made by directly exposing photo-materials to natural phenomena like geothermal activity, photographs created through haptic manipulations of conventional landscape imagery, and digital 3D scans of flora. Opening Tuesday 18 February, 5.30pm–7.30pm.
