Generating movement: Tuppy Ngintja Goodwin wins Hadley’s Art Prize
Congratulations to senior Pitjantjatjara artist Tuppy Ngintja Goodwin for winning the 2022 Hadley’s Art Prize for a moving and intricate painting depicting the ancient Maku Tjukurpa (witchetty grub) songline from Mimili. Goodwin is the first woman to win the prize since it began in 2017.

Nuha Saad’s structures of colour
Nuha Saad’s kaleidoscopically colourful art is a tandem exploration of the ornamental and decorative, while also delicately drawing upon her Lebanese and Australian heritage. Her latest exhibition at James Makin Gallery draws upon a visual military operation known as Razzle Dazzle, which yielded fleets of vessels that looked like floating Cubist paintings.
