Grace Kelly: From Hollywood to Monaco – Artisits’ Tributes
The palatial—like Galaxy Macau seems a perfect venue to host an exhibition that looks at the life of the late actress and princess, Grace Kelly, who tragically died in a car accident in 1982.
Co-organised by the Galaxy Entertainment Group Foundation and the Grimaldo Forum of Monaco, the GRACE KELLY; From Hollywood to Monaco – Artists’ Attributes exhibition traces the story of the legendary movie star, showcasing how artists were inspired to create their works with her as their muse.
Among the notable works are Andy Warhol with his pop art image of Grace Kelly, and Alfred Hitchcock, directing his series of films starring the actress. There are also famous photographers, sculptors, jewellers and fashion houses depicting her signature style – the “Grace Kelly look”.
On loan from the collection of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, the exhibits include photographs and moving images of Grace Kelly, her Oscar award, wedding gown, the eponymous Kelly bag, designer jewellery and a rare portrait by Andy Warhol.
