Throughout human history, birds have played the roles of friend, foe and food. In these uncertain times, what impact is climate change going to have on migratory bird species, and how does rapid change in the natural and built environment impact on birds and the complex relationships that we take for granted? Through a series of works made of bronze, cardboard and found objects, sculptor Tom Buckland seeks to respond to these questions and to explore our emotional, ethical and imaginative connection to the world of birds.
