Tjunguṉutja: From Having Come Together

A much anticipated exhibition of the world’s most significant collection of Papunya paintings created during the seminal period, 1971–72. Tjunguṉutja, meaning ‘from having come together’ showcases the genesis of the contemporary Australian Aboriginal art movement. Featuring early paintings from Papunya alongside rare cultural artefacts, historical ephemera and photographs, Tjunguṉutja will for the first time bring together over 100 paintings from MAGNT’s collection.
