13 July—3 August
Group exhibition featuring works by more than 30 Australian artists. This large group exhibition brings together a variety of different representations of trees, by over 30 dynamic contemporary artists associated with the Printmaker Gallery. The exhibition is curated by the gallery directors and will explore environmental issues, while celebrating the beauty of this reoccurring motif, to raise funds in support of Environment Victoria. The intention of this exhibition is to stimulate a dialogue about the relationship between the artist and the natural world. With growing concern regarding the environment and climate change, the exhibition aims to show how the artists’ experience, knowledge and practice, including scientific, social and cultural issues are woven through contemporary printmaking.
Opening event Thursday 13 July.
