A retrospective exhibition of assemblage sculptures.
Opening Saturday 10 February, 6pm–9pm.
1 Sparta Place, Brunswick
Showing at PS Art Space, the exhibition is the second instalment of the duo’s three-part Migratory Projects, which, as the name suggests, broadly deals with the aesthetic representation and experience of migration.
Black Magic explores queer Aboriginality from a critical perspective with a playful approach.
The board of the Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) has appointed Cherie McNair as the new director. She will commence on 8 February 2017.
“This isn’t actually my studio. It belongs to Adele Mills, and I’m just subletting it for three months while she’s away in America. I’ve had three different studios at Gertrude Contemporary: my own one while I was a studio artist from 2012 to 2014, and two others I’ve subletted for short periods while artists have been away on residencies.”
