Reminiscence: Celebrating 100 years of Australian visionary Judith Wright
Reminiscence is a significant exhibition reflecting on Judith Wright’s inspirational life in this centenary year of her birth.
This exhibition brings together a new body of work by multidisciplinary artist Fiona Rafferty and ceramicist Frances Smith. The artists have brought this project to life after a year in their respective studios, having taken abundant inspiration from time spent at Wright’s former home of Calanthe on Mount Tambourine. The resulting work is focused on themes that were of great importance to Wright; her poetry, Australia’s First Peoples and the environment.
Reminiscence is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland’s Playing Queensland Fund.
