Next Gen 2024

Discover the issues, ideas and causes that are inspiring our next generation of young artists. Next Gen 2024 showcases some of the best of the work created by students from Government, Catholic and Independent schools from Ballarat, and the South Western Victorian region in 2023. The work represented is by students who have just completed VCE studies in: Art Creative Practice, Art Making and Exhibiting, Media, Visual Communication Design, Product Design and Technology, and students who have created design or art projects as part of the VCE Vocational Major (formerly VCAL). This annual showcase of VCE artworks gives Gallery visitors insights into the world of young people today by showing extraordinary works which reveal their vision, ideas and skills.
