Even though Chinese-Australian artist Lindy Lee has changed and refined her art practice over time there are certain themes that continually pervade her work.
Like many exhibitions, Telaesthesia began with conversation. “The five artists in this exhibition all shared a studio space for several years until 2012 and we would sit around our kitchen table and talk about what it meant to be painting in a post-digital and post-internet world,” says curator and artist Tony Lloyd.

Hossein Valamanesh is best known for his installation and sculptural work, but last year he presented his first large-scale video piece, Char Soo, in collaboration with his filmmaker son Nassiem Valamanesh.
