This exhibition includes woodcuts and linocuts by SAC Resident Artist Rebecca Murdoch.
As one of the newest Resident Studio Artists at Salamanca Arts Centre, this exhibition marks a return to the art profession. It is descriptive of a beginning point, a first step in a new meandering journey exploring image making, the concept of the multiple that the printmaking process enables, and the use of that multiple in the creation of unique art pieces.
Murdoch’s work has a decorative aesthetic, exploring a flat plane graphic approach within the linocut print methodology. Trees and botanic forms feature strongly in her work.
