A Thousand Journeys – The Helen Read Collection

Helen Read was captivated by Aboriginal art over thirty years ago when she first worked with remote Indigenous artists and their communities. Since then she has since built a significant collection from Australia’s Top End. A Thousand Journeys is a travelogue of Read’s earliest journeys. It reflects on the rise of Aboriginal art during the 1990s and the significance of this period in the recent history of Aboriginal art production.
