SafARI is the unofficial fringe event to the Biennale of Sydney, exhibiting the work of emerging, unrepresented artists across multiple Artist-Run Initiatives in Sydney during the opening weeks of the Biennale.
The artists represented are Nils Crompton, Karla Dickens, Will French, Biljana Jancic, Marius Jastkowiak, Leahlani Johnson, Sue-Ching Lascelles, Vincent and Vaughan O’Connor, Caroline Phillips, Tom Polo, Jason Sims, Roland Souliere, Chris Town and Linda Wilken.
SafARI 2010 is co-curated by Lisa Corsi and Danielle Hairs, with Alex MacIver.
SafARI is showing from Wednesday 5 May until Sunday 23 May 2010 at MOP
Projects (2/39 Abercrombie Street, Chippendale NSW) and Firstdraft
Gallery (116-118 Chalmers Street, Surry Hills NSW); Wednesday 5 May
until Sunday 30 May at Locksmith Project Space, (6 Botany Road,
Alexandria NSW); and two special performances at Serial Space (33
Wellington Street, Chippendale NSW) Friday 7 May and Sunday 9 May.
SafARI will also be exhibiting on the facade of FBi Radio (44-54 Botany
